Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana organized a Two-day STEM Teacher Training Workshop by the UK-Pakistan Science & Innovation Global Network (UPSIGN), on 18th-19th December 2024, at Chandka Medical College, Larkana. The workshop focused on evidence-based innovative teaching-learning methods to enhance student engagement and learning in classrooms. The workshop was facilitated by Ms Madiha Sajid (Imperial College London), Dr Sajid Saleem (NUST, Karachi) and Professor Jawwad Darr (University College London), all three renowned educationists and researchers working on STEM Teacher Training Initiative all over Pakistan. Around 35 faculty members from all constituent colleges and institutes of Smbbmu actively participated in the sessions, contributing to discussions and gaining insights into modern pedagogical approaches. The vice chancellor of Smbbmu Prof. Dr. Nusrat Shah emphasised the university’s dedication to fostering academic excellence and expressed her gratitude to the international experts for their dedication to the cause of improving the standard of education by means of conducting regular teacher training programs in Pakistan. The workshop was organized by Dr Mir Hasan Khoso, Director ORIC, SMBBMU, Larkana.
