The national flag was hoisted by Prof Dr Nusrat Shah, the Vice Chancellor SMBBMU, alongside Deans of Faculties, Principals, Directors, faculty members, officers, staff, and students, in a spirit of unity and patriotism.

Following the flag hoisting, a plantation drive was held, during which the Vice Chancellor, alongside faculty, officers, and students, planted several saplings across the campus. This green initiative symbolized the University’s commitment to environmental sustainability and its vision of contributing to a healthier, greener Pakistan.

On this auspicious occasion, Prof Nusrat Shah congratulated everyone on successful organisation of 7 medical camps around Larkano and Sukkur in the BHUs and RHCs of PPHI, covering Qambar Shahdadkot, Ratodero, Jacobabad, Arija, Pano Aqil, Mirpur Mathelo and Saleh Put; visit to Sweet Home Orphanage of Larkano and for organising many other activities including azadi walks, clinical ward activities, seminars, debates, sports competitions and plantation drives. She said the Independence Day and Marka e Haq fortnight has witnessed our university’s utmost commitment to our vision of improving health of rural and disadvantaged communities. She appreciated and thanked the faculty members, officers and students for participating actively in all Independence Day and Marka e Haq activities throughout the last 14 days. She also appreciated the gardeners for their hard work in preparing the ground and securing plants for the wonderful plantation activity.

The ceremony concluded on a happy note with renewed patriotic spirit, camaraderie, and a collective pledge to uphold the ideals of unity, faith, and discipline, while working towards a prosperous and sustainable Pakistan.
