Dr Javed also strongly believe in contributions towards social welfare and giving back to the community, which takes me to Karachi, Pakistan, his native town, a couple of times annually, volunteering his time to perform coronary interventions on indigent non-affording patients. The Government of Pakistan kindly acknowledged his volunteer services and contributions in the field of Cardiology and awarded him with the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Distinction) in 2009. Since graduating from Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in 2000, Dr Javed had been consistently serving the low socioeconomic area of Queens as Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist.
