A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today, 5th May, 2023, between Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana and University Sains Malaysia during a virtual ceremony held online.

The Vice Chancellor of SMBBMU, Prof Dr Nusrat Shah along with the Director Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization Dr Mir Hassan Khoso signed an MOU with the Vice Chancellor of USM, Prof Dr Abdul Rehman Mohammed and his Director International Affairs.  The MOU signifies mutual cooperation on student and faculty exchange programs, joint academic, research and development programs, and joint workshops and training programs.

The Ceremony was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Alam Ibrahim Siddiqui, Dean Medicine and Allied, Prof. Gulzar Ahmed Sheikh, Dean Surgery & Allied, Prof. Dr. Amar Lal Garbakhshani, Dean Basic Medical Sciences and Prof. Dr. Yusuf Shah, Dean Dentistry on behalf of SMBBMU Larkana.

The participants from USM who witnessed the ceremony included Prof. Dr. Narimah Samat, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & International), Prof. Dr. Azlan Abdul Aziz, Dean, Institute of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Irfan Mohammad, Deputy Dean for Postgraduate Studies, School of Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Kamarul Aryffin Baharuddin, Deputy Dean for Academic & International, School of Medical Sciences.
