She thanked the government of Pakistan and HEC for this initiative and said we would like to request the government to provide this facility to even average students who cannot afford to buy their own laptops. She said students are lucky to be born in today’s internet era where all the advanced learning tools eg mobile phones, tablets, and laptops were available. They also have access to artificial intelligence and chat GPT which can provide all the necessary information for their questions and assignments. She said our students are more comfortable with technology than us as our generation was not exposed to modern technology. She said but in those days we used to read books, play in play grounds and also people used to communicate directly with each other rather than through text and WhatsApp messages and emails. Today’s children are not learning the art of conversation. Also, nowadays students are addicted to screens and are not physically active which is causing stress among young people and predisposing them to high blood pressure, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. She said students have to manage their studies but also take care of their physical and mental health.
